  • Difficulty: Easy
  • The Iwatayama Monkey Park requires a 20-minute uphill hike (which could take longer, depending on your physical condition)
  • You must bring comfortable shoes for the hike to the Monkey Park. Please also bring cash for food/drinks and eventually to tip the guide for the great service provided
  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible
  • Infant & Pet Policy: This experience is not suitable for pets. Infant seats are unavailable, and infants must not sit on laps
  • Exclusions: Lunch, extra food & drinks, shopping, and souvenirs are not included
  • Language Policy: This is a shared tour. The general language for the whole group will remain English. While some guides speak French, German, or Spanish as an optional complement, we cannot guarantee a specific language other than English on a shared tour. To confirm the availability of your preferred language on your date, you must contact us prior to booking.
  • Booking cut-off: 3 hours in advance

Cancellation Policy

  • 100% cancellation fee is charged if the booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event
  • 0% cancellation fee if the booking is cancelled 1000 days or less before the event

How to find us: Please meet your guide at the taxi stand located directly outside the North Exit of JR Saga-Arashiyama Station. You will find it right next to the station’s traffic roundabout and the coin lockers.
