Behind the scenes of a Special Japanese Culture Concert at Nagoya Noh Theater

40 Min

Easy

Go backstage at a cultural concert, interact with the artists and instruments and enjoy a unique theatrical performance at Nagoya’s Noh Theater.

Designed specifically for international guests and led by world renowned Koto artist Rie Asai, this is Japan’s first musical stage event.

In this event, you will not only enjoy a unique theatrical performance but also have the rare opportunity to interact with the performing artists and the traditional Japanese instruments.
Traditional Japanese musical instruments such as the Koto, Japanese drums, Hichiriki and more will accompany the captivating storytelling and performance inspired by the history of the Shogun Era. The current Nagoya area was previously governed by Owari Tokugawa, one of the three branch families of the house of Tokugawa.

The unique theatrical performance will be held in the Noh Theatre Practice Room, a hidden cultural gem rarely open to the public, where you can admire the majestic pine tree beautifully painted on the stage backdrop and experience the elegance of this historic setting up close.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to connect with Japan’s musical heritage in an intimate setting.
