Experience Overview

This exclusive experience adapts our most popular tour specifically for families with kids by skipping Yoshikien Garden to focus on a fun, highly adaptable route. Whether your children can ride a bike or not, we have you covered with electric bikes and available child seats for non-riders. Your guide will keep you safe and show you the city in a unique way, taking extra care to adjust the journey based on your family’s preferences.

You will ride through Nara Park to admire the animals and stop at the Nandaimon Gate (the symbol of the entrance to the domain of Todaiji) to feed the deer with crackers. Next, you will enter Todaiji Temple to see the biggest Buddha statue in Japan and learn about the city’s history. You will also visit the Kasuga Taisha Shrine to see its thousand lanterns and discover Shinto, the world’s oldest concept of spirituality. Along the way, visit the Kikuichi Knife Company—a former Samurai Sword maker and actual cooking knife maker—where you can get free engraving if you choose to buy a knife. Finally, sit down for a daytime izakaya lunch featuring a wide variety of dishes that both adults and kids will have a great experience eating!

  • For sustainable tourism, we provide paper cups for water refills. You can also bring and refill your own bottles at different spots along the route
  • This tour does not accommodate wheelchairs or strollers/prams. Public transportation operates nearby
  • Infant & Pet Policy: This experience does not allow pets. Infants cannot sit on laps; they must use the available infant seats.
  • Exclusions: The tour price does not include extra food and drink, shopping, or souvenirs.
