折り紙ワークショップ

We meet up at a cozy Japanese style meeting room located in the central Tokyo near the downtown Shinjuku (We take you from the nearest station to the place). We introduce you 3 classical origami from Japan. We prepare various kinds of paper and you will pick your favorite pieces.

You will fold each origami following demonstrations by the host. The host’s hands are live projected on a large screen. We go step by step, emphasizing important skills. If you have questions or requests, we can come over to help anytime.

Many people find our origami very satisfying and therapeutic:)

Our experiences are different from YouTube tutorials and other Origami classes in English, because you will not only make the shapes but also hear their backstories. So you will get to know Origami's history and Japanese culture/values. Only we as locals with expertise in Japanese traditional culture and origami can do this.

You can ask questions about origami as well as Japan anytime.

Finally, we show our works each other and share feedbacks about the experience.

~About our guide~

I am Japanese professional origami instructor from Tokyo. I started learning origami from my mother when I was 3 years old. Now I love Japanese traditional culture a lot and run a few related projects in English.

My origami workshops got 4.99/5.0 stars since its launch in May 2020 on Airbnb. This activity allowed me to meet hundreds of fantastic people from around the globe.
The core idea of my project is I don't just teach skills. My whole aim is to share Japanese traditional culture and values.

I speak TOEFL 111 level English and intermediate German. I studied history and completed Ph.D. in cultural heritage studies. I like traveling, temples and shrines, learning languages, meeting family and friends.
